Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born to a family of grocers in a city called Vadnagar in Mehsana district of Gujarat. He was born on 17 September, 1950. His father name is Late Damordas Mulchand Modi and mother name is Heeraben Modi. This couple had 6 children among which Narendra Modi was the third child to them.

 Since his youthful days, he was challenged with many complications and obstacles, but he faced all the challenges into opportunities by pure strength of character and bravery. Modi completed his studies against all probabilities. He did his education from Vadnagar and obtained a master’s degree in Political Science from Gujarat University. One of his school instructors defined him as an average student but a brilliant debater. He like too swim too, his friends said that during school days he used to go to library and read books for hours. His story of struggle started when as a teenager, he, along with his brother, used to run a tea stall nearby railway station in Ahmedabad. During his college days, At the age of eight he started working with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) a socio-cultural organization with a severe focus on the social and cultural development of India at the age of 20, he was so influenced by the RSS that he became the full time ‘Pracharak’ and he had formally united RSS in 1971 at the age of 21, which imbibed in him the spirit of generosity, public responsibility, commitment, and patriotism. He has done the BA (Bachelor of Arts) degree in political science from School of Open Learning at University of Delhi and further he had completed his Master degree in political science from Gujarat University.  Narendra Modi’s marriage with Jashodaben, he got engaged with Smt. Jashodaben in 1968, when Modi was just 13 years old.In harmony with Ghanchi tradition, Narendra Modi’s marriage was decided by his parents when he was a child. He was engaged at age thirteen to Jashodaben, marrying her when he was eighteen. They spent slight time together and raised separately when Modi began two years of travel, including visits to Swami Vivekanand ashrams. Apparently, their marriage was never consummated, and he kept it a secret, since he could not have become a ‘pracharak’ in the puritan Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Modi kept his marriage secret for most of his career. He approved his wife for the first time when he filed his proposal for the 2014 general elections. Modi upholds a close connection with his mother, Hiraben.

Soma bhai Modi, Narendra Modi’s brother, issued an announcement saying that the arranged child marriage had been forced on Narendra Modi by his family, He said that the marriage was never accomplished, and that Modi left it soon after it was solemnized, encouraged by the teachings of Vivekananda, Modi further worked for society.

Narendra Modi continuously had the extreme passion and eagerness to serve and help the people in need. As a young boy, Narendra Modi offered his services willingly to the soldiers at the railway stations throughout the Indo-Pak war in 1965. He also helped pretentious people during the 1967 Gujarat floods. His input to the Anti-emergency movement overwhelmed senior political leaders. As a result of this, he was eventually selected by the regional organiser of the newly-formed Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat.

In 1987, Narendra Modi joined the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and entered politics. Within a year, PM Modi was raised to the rank of General Secretary of the Gujarat unit of BJP. By this period, he had already attained a repute in the party for being a extremely well-organized organizer. Due to his effort from 1988 and 1995, Shri Narendra Modi now known as a master strategist and had successfully gained the necessary groundwork for creating the Gujarat BJP the ruling party of the state.
